The demo fleet

Aurora Marine, 18 vessels, the people, and one morning across the modules.

The demo workspace is Aurora Marine, an operator based in Singapore and Rotterdam with 18 vessels: tankers, bulk carriers, container ships and LNG carriers. All names and numbers are generated. Every module is bought. Voyage performance and chartering open a placeholder page. Crew has the list, the certificates and the rest hours, and no payroll.

People

Levels come from the demo seed. A module that is not named is none. Agents never hold publish.

One morning across the modules

Start as Maren Holt at http://localhost:4400/app . MV Aldersea is an LR2 on the way from Ras Tanura to Rotterdam, alongside in four days. Her main-engine bearing temperature is above the predicted band: critical, 72 % within 9 days. That alert is predictive maintenance, at http://localhost:4400/app/alerts .

The same morning the cameras have a critical oil-mist event in her engine room, about four hours old, on main engine unit 1. Open http://localhost:4400/app/cameras . The event names the related planned-maintenance overhaul. Acknowledge needs cameras edit (Ravi or Erdem). Raise a work order or Open an HSEQ incident needs cameras publish (Kaan or Maren). Opening an incident does not create the HSEQ row. It marks the event as pending. HSEQ lists those events on http://localhost:4400/app/hseq . Reporting the incident needs HSEQ edit, and writing the camera link back also needs cameras edit. Close and Sign-off need HSEQ publish. The seed’s oil-mist event is still open. It is not yet an incident.

The overhaul is a job card at http://localhost:4400/app/pms . The running-hours counter on the card is simulated in the demo. The spare request on the card is the real requisition. On Aldersea the piston-ring set for that overhaul is a requisition out for quotes, with three calculated quotes back. Open http://localhost:4400/app/procurement/requisitions . Approve the requisition and Award a quote need procurement publish. The turbo-bearing kit is already a purchase order waiting for approval. Approving an order needs edit, and publish above $5,000. Sending the RFQ does not call a supplier. In the demo the three quotes appear at once.

The supplier invoice is recorded on the order. Finance keeps its own invoice row, linked by number, at http://localhost:4400/app/finance/invoices . Approve needs finance edit, and publish at or above $10,000. Record payment and Post journal need publish. Selin has that level. Kaan has finance view only. Demo amounts are generated. Nothing is exported to Xero.

The Rotterdam call

Aldersea’s current call is Rotterdam. The port desk is http://localhost:4400/app/port . Her proforma is approved and waiting for funds. The lines are a tariff in the app, not the agent’s bill. Fund needs port publish (Kaan, Selin or Maren). The call page links the cargo files for that vessel.

Two shipment files and three PRVU boxes ride on that sailing. Open them from the call, or from http://localhost:4400/app/shipments and http://localhost:4400/app/containers . The gate box is held and carries the one dangerous-goods line. The box on board is the reefer and reads off its set point. The first file is missing its bill of lading. The second file is one milestone late. Hold and Flag reefer need cargo edit. Marking a milestone done, or setting a document status, needs cargo publish. The charge grid is simulated USD and posts to no ledger.

Other events in the generated data

  • MV Northwind: auxiliary engine lube oil pressure low.
  • MV Pacifica: a sensor outage, shown as a gap in the charts.
  • A spike in fuel use in January from heavy weather.
  • A dismissed false positive in the alert history.
  • Two claims, one closed and one open.
  • One report submitted late.
  • A certificate that expires in 12 days.

Portline is the yard and the land system. It may share a container number. It does not keep the sea shipment.
