Using certificates and documents

How the shore reads the expiry radar, document control and the PSC readiness score.

Certificates dashboard: expired and expiring certificates and expiries over the next 12 months

Certificates and documents is the expiry radar for the ship’s certificates, the controlled manuals, and a PSC readiness score. The superintendent and the document controller ashore watch the 90, 60 and 30 day bands. The master can read the certificates for the ship when he has view. In the demo Sofia Lindqvist has edit. Kaan Erdem and Maren Holt have publish. The module is bought in the Aurora Marine demo. It is no longer the locked example.

Dashboard and pages

Certificates is http://localhost:4400/app/documents . Every ship certificate sits on a 12-month timeline per vessel, with the next five to renew and the full list of issuer, dates and days left, grouped by the 90, 60 and 30 day radar.

Document control is http://localhost:4400/app/documents/control . ISM and ISPS manuals, procedures and forms show the current version, the revision date, the owner and the vessels still on an older version.

PSC readiness is http://localhost:4400/app/documents/psc . Each vessel has a score and the items that lower it: expired or expiring certificates, overdue maintenance and open defects. Integrations is http://localhost:4400/app/integrations/documents .

Workflows

PSC readiness page: a 0 to 100 score per vessel with what an inspector would find

view is enough to read the radar, the controlled documents and the PSC score. The manifest names one publish action, document.renew, labelled Mark a certificate renewed. This build has no action rule and no button for it. Nothing on the certificates page marks a certificate renewed. Do not look for that button. edit in the seed does not map to a certificate write in this build either.

The vetting evidence pack reads this PSC score and links back here. It does not keep a second score.

Shared records

Crew certificates use the same expiry dates the crew module lists. The crew certificate list is the place those STCW and medical certificates are read. This radar includes the ship certificates. A class job’s survey window is the planned-maintenance job card. This module shows the certificate dates. It does not complete the job.

What the demo simulates

The certificate that expires in 12 days is generated. Class and survey dates are not fetched from DNV. Scanned files are not fetched from Dropbox. Both connectors are mocks.

Integrations

DNV Veracity and Dropbox are mocks. See Connections and the module reference.
