Using port calls and agency
How the shore confirms a berth, funds a proforma and settles the final account.
Port calls are the ship’s visit: the berth, the yard, the agent and the disbursement account. The port captain or the operations superintendent ashore runs the account. The master on board reads the call and can confirm details when he has edit. In the demo Capt. Erdem Yılmaz has edit. Kaan Erdem, Selin Demir and Maren Holt have publish, which is what funding and settlement need. Money is recorded in the app. It is not paid to a bank.
Dashboard and pages
The port desk is http://localhost:4400/app/port . It shows calls in the next 14 days, accounts waiting for funds, final accounts past their settlement date, and the proforma-against-final variance by port.
Port calls is http://localhost:4400/app/port/calls . One call is http://localhost:4400/app/port/calls/ and then the id: timeline, berth, yard, gate, agent, account, the thread, the shore team, and links to that vessel’s cargo files and work orders.
Disbursement accounts is http://localhost:4400/app/port/da . One account is http://localhost:4400/app/port/da/ and then the id: the lines, proforma against final, and the queries to the agent. Agents is http://localhost:4400/app/port/agents , opened from the accounts page. Integrations is http://localhost:4400/app/integrations/port .
Workflows
These need edit: confirm the berth (port.berth.confirm), post a message (port.message.post), add a timeline event (port.timeline.add), appoint the agent (port.agent.appoint), create the proforma (port.da.create_pda), record the final lines (port.da.record_fda) and query the agent (port.da.query).
These need publish. Approve the PDA (port.da.approve) accepts a received proforma, or a proforma that was queried before any final account. Fund (port.da.fund) runs once, from an approved account whose total is above zero. Settle the FDA (port.da.settle) settles a final account, including one queried after the final account arrived. A queried proforma cannot be settled. An agent cannot press any of the three.
Shared records
The port call is the parent. Cargo files and containers link to it and open from the call page. Procurement deliveries due at the call are a link to the procurement list, not a copy of the order. Work orders due at the call are read from predictive maintenance by vessel and port name. A finance invoice that came from a disbursement account points at the port call. The two invoice rows are not the same record yet.
What the demo simulates
MV Aldersea’s current call is Rotterdam, approved proforma, waiting for funds. The lines are a tariff in the app, not the agent’s figures. Agents are invented, one per port. Gate events on the current call are seeded. The hold itself is cargo.hold. Older calls have the shore desk only. No connector sends or receives anything.
